Tribalism has been instinctive to humans since they began to organize socially. Our identities revolve around our so called tribes. It may be based on nationality, race, culture, religion, creed, sexual orientation etc. As we appear to be escaping perhaps the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic, at least in some countries, much has been revealed about the darker side of humanity. This piece is a look at the darker underbelly of hate underlying some communities, which has recently reared it’s ugly head more prominently. …

For many people, the COVID-19 pandemic put life on hold so to speak. Given the mass vaccination programs now evolving, there is cautious optimism that the end of the pandemic appears to be on the horizon. As such, it is a great time to take stock of one’s life situation and plan your future.

Successfully achieving diet, exercise, career, family and various other self-improvement goals hinges on our respect for the Law of Inertia. …

There was effectively no place or person that was not either directly or indirectly impacted by the effects of the global pandemic. Life, as we normally lived it, was upended in so many ways. This piece looks at what we lost, aspects of our life that were weakened and ways that we can re-emerge stronger on the other side.

At the time of this writing, mass vaccination roll-outs are beginning to take place and ramp up in various countries. With several vaccines now approved…

I begin this creative expression experiment with great humility. I am grateful that Medium exists as a platform for my writing to evolve over time…
